Married Lesbian Threesome Having Baby

Three Baby Bottles

A polyamorous lesbian threesome who got “married” last August are expecting. The three ladies, Doll, 30; Brynn, 34; and Kitten, 27, were walked down the aisle by their fathers, each wearing a white wedding gown for the unusual ceremony, and while group marriage is not legal in their home state of Massachusetts, the “throuple,” as they’ve been dubbed in the tabloids, had a lawyer draft paperwork that would provide the triad a measure of the safety and security that a traditional marriage provides.

Brynn and Doll met in 2009 on an online polyamory dating site. Brynn, a veteran of two failed marriages to other women had come to the conclusion that monogamy simply didn’t work for her. Doll had been polyamorous since her high school days. Brynn and Doll moved in together after dating for 8 months. Both having enjoyed polyamory in the past, started looking for a third to add to their relationship. They posted personal ads on dating sites and were contacted by Kitten, herself an experienced polyamorist. As Brynn describes it, “With Doll and Kitten, things finally made sense. It was as if the puzzle was complete with all three pieces.”

After dating for a few months Kitten moved in and two years later they decided to formalize their relationship. Kitten, Brynn and Doll had to work around the legalities of the state to get married. Having a lawyer draw up binding documents, Brynn and Doll are legally married, and Kitten is tied to each with paperwork that provides her with as much of the benefits of marriage that could be mustered, in terms of assets, wills, and legal rights to children.

Three months after the marriage, Kitten was pregnant via IVF treatment using sperm from an anonymous donor. They hope to have three offspring using the same method to conceive. They are also planning on home schooling as they don’t want their little ones subjected to bullying as a result of their parents’ unorthodox relationship. The three are faithful to each other and say that they don’t plan on adding anyone else to their relationship, having found their own version of wedded bliss. They hope to show the world that their brand of polyfidelity is as valid a choice as any other.

While conservative forces are jumping up and down, pointing to this happy triad as proof-positive that gay marriage will lead to polygamy, we would ask: what is actually wrong with group marriage? As Brynn so eloquently stated: “Doll, Kitten and I may not be the norm but we are perfectly normal. We are simply people trying to live the life that we feel is best for us and we deserve the rights afforded to others.”
