How to Impress a Woman with Your Dating Profile

There are two reasons a woman is going to read your profile. One, you’ve sent her a great message after reading her profile, and she is interested enough to check you out. Or two, she is online, scrolling through profiles, and something about yours catches her eye.

If you want a reply to your message, you must have a great profile. Or if you want her to take that leap of faith, and send you a first message, you’ll have to impress her onscreen before you’ve even met.

Let’s face it, most of us don’t have the celebrity looks or money that might instantly attract someone to us, so it will have to be a combination of your best qualities that attracts a woman.

Looks aren’t everything, but your cover pic and other profile pictures are the first thing she will see. Put some thought into choosing photos that best highlight not only your looks, but also who you are. Use pictures that tell more about yourself than what you look like. Maybe it’s a picture of you hiking, or you with your pet… just avoid the half-naked bathroom selfies that really turn a girl off.

Most poly dating sites have different sections such as “Description,” “What I’m good At,” “Favorite Movies,” etc… Of course, you want to impress her, but you also don’t want to come across as an egomaniac. Highlight your best qualities with a dash of humor, and if you can work in your passions and a few goals (which women really like), you’ll be on your way.

A little mystery never hurts either. Long verbose profiles often have a woman clicking away rather than scrolling through, so save something for the first date. That said, do fill out all sections, otherwise she may think you are trying to hide something.

Be open to all kinds of women. Stating what you like and dislike about women can be seen as judgemental and can turn the most confident women away. Positivity attracts positive people, what everyone needs more of in their life.

Honesty will go a long way in finding the relationship you are looking for. If you just want something casual and fun, don’t be afraid to say so. If you’re tired of the dating scene and want to settle into something serious, let that be known. Online dating is meant to be easier, so take advantage of this. You won’t be wasting your time or anyone else’s.
