Don’t Love Me Like a Porn Star!

My ex-husband wasn’t into porn, and I figured it wasn’t that mainstream until I got divorced and began meeting men through online dating sites. I now realize, I was naive and that most men watch some porn while many are self-proclaimed addicts.

To each his own. Some women love porn, too, and enjoy watching it with their partners. I’ve watched my fair share now, enough to know what I like and don’t. I think porn can be entertaining and stimulating, but I don’t see it as an educational tool at all. It simply does not reflect real-life sex. A lot of guys I meet act porny between the sheets which, for me, is a total turn off. This is more true of younger men who seem to have had their primary sexual education through porn.

So what do I mean by acting porny in bed? Here are examples…

  • Dirty Talk – asking if she thinks she can handle your big hot cock down her throat
  • BDSM – slapping, hair pulling, spanking, choking, nipple pinching
  • Anal – thinking she’s into that sorta thing before asking
  • Shaving – expecting all women to be bald down there
  • Zero Foreplay – thinking a woman will be wet and ready to go in five minutes
  • Cum Shot – spraying your giz on a woman’s face without getting the go ahead

Now, don’t get me wrong, maybe your partner or previous partners did like some of these actions BUT it’s very individual and MOST women don’t like porny behavior.

Most porn represents sex as hard-core and depicts all women liking it like that. The reality of sex is a lot more complicated; what women enjoy varies greatly.

Know your poly lovers enough to know their preferences (or by all means, ask) before you love like a porn star!
